Parisian cafés you won’t want to miss

Should you be in Paris or be planning a trip to Paris, these are a few of our favourite coffee and tea spots we’d like to share:

Used book café

111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris

The used book café in Paris is part of the ‘Merci’ concept store and is the cosiest place in Paris to grab breakfast or just a coffee. Their walls full of second hand books are for you to read in house, or buy and take home with you. Due to its heavenly atmosphere, it is often full, but if ever you can’t get a table you won’t be disappointed with a walk around Merci concept store while you wait!

Aloha café Paris

32, rue Pierre-Fontaine, 75009 Paris

This sweet, bright café is loved for its home-made food, delicious coffee and the owners hospitality. Their banana bread is to die for, and should you be traveling with children and fear you may not be ‘allowed’ to enjoy a coffee break, this place even has a kids corner with a tiny kitchen.

Espresso – 2€50

Le Loir est dans la Théière

3 Rue des Rosiers, 75004 Paris

A long time Parisian favourite, this is a place for tea lovers. Decorated in a ‘bric & broc’ vintage style, their home-made dessert spread is devoured daily. Their loose leaf tea is excellent, and the lemon meringue pie is just as impressive to see as it is to taste.

Tea + generous slice of home made dessert -13€

Shakespeare and company café

37 rue de la Bûcherie, 76005, Paris

The famous, historic and ideally situated English book store, has opened the ideal extension to its famously frequented shop – a café offering happenings, readings and literary rendezvous, along side great coffee and a simple yet wholesome menu.

Espresso – 2€50

Boot café

19 Rue du Pont aux Choux, 75003 Paris

This coffee shop is on our list as the quaintest, and possibly the smallest coffee shop in Paris. Set up in a former cobbler shop, the facade has not been changed, hence the name. Understated and on a quiet street, you will need to make a special trip to taste their gorgeous coffee, made by an attentive barista (who speaks English if it helps).
